The following is a list of the newest merit badges and official numbers as assigned by BSA:

Merit Badge Requirements Changes (Permanent)
BSA recently changed the requirements for several of the merit badges. If you are using the latest version of TroopMaster, these changes are made automatically when you install the latest program update.

Astronomy, Horsemanship, Nuclear Science

Archery and Sports also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

  • Merit Badge Requirement Changes (Jan 2010)

Architecture, Computers, Fishing, Fly-Fishing, Graphic Arts, and Landscape Architecture.

Athletics, Coin Collecting, Communications, Dentistry, Family Life, Geology, Home Repaurs, Medicine, Personal Fitness, and Saftey also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

  • Merit Badge Requirement Changes (Jan 2009)

Automotive Maintenance (formerly Auto Mechanics), Cinematography, Drafting, Emergency Preparedness, Engineering, Farm Mechanics, Insect Study, Motorboating, Pottery, and Radio.

Archery, Coin Collecting, Collections, Indian Lore, Painting, and Swimming also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

  • Merit Badge Requirement Changes (Jan 2008)

First Aid, Metalwork, Sculpture, Water Sports (formerly Waterskiing), and Wilderness Survival.

Backpacking and Hiking also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

Animal Science, Archaeology, Art, Athletics, Aviation, Climbing, Cooking, Journalism, Safety, Shotgun Shooting, Snow Sports, Sports, Traffic Safety, and Weather.

Camping, Dentistry, Entrepreneurship, Personal Fitness, Rowing, and Stamp Collection also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

American Cultures, American Heritage, American Labor, Camping, Chemistry, Citizenship in the World, Computers, Crime Prevention, Disabilities Awareness, Energy, Environmental Science, Forestry, Genealogy, Geology, Photography, Pioneering, Plant Science, Public Health, Pulp and Paper, Reptile and Amphibian Study, Scholarship, Shotgun Shooting, Truck Transportation, Veterinary Medicine, and Whitewater.

Astronomy, Bird Study, and Skating also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

Archery, Basketry, Bugling, Collections, Communications, Dog Care, Emergency Preparedness, Fingerprinting, Horsemanship, Model Design, Music, Nature, Oceanography, Orienteering, Personal Management, Railroading, Reading, Salesmanship, Textile, and Woodwork.

Electronics also changed but the requirement numbers remain the same.

American Business, Backpacking, Coin Collecting, Dentistry, First Aid, Fishing, Gardening, Golf, Home Repairs, Landscape Architecture, Law, Leatherwork, Medicine, Painting, Pottery, Public Speaking, and Sculpture.

Fly-Fishing and Insect Study also changed, but the requirement numbers remain the same.
